Review:

Overall: All the concepts were very good. The writing in some of the stories is better than others. Warnings at the bottom.

Build A Body Like Mine: This wasn't my favourite story but it was very enjoyable to read. I like the way it showed the toxic mindset over body image. 3/5 stars.

The Problem Solver: Effective in it's message of the 'male saviour' who doesn't exactly understand the consequences for women. 2/5 stars.

She's Always Hungry: This is one of my favourites, if not the No 1. It has a very good dark vibe and the helplessness of the narrator is fun to read when you know that they are being manipulated. I liked the description of the creature and the sense of the community which added to the creepiness. 5/5 stars.

The Shadow Over Little Chitaly: Absolutely baffling. It was very intruiging but obviously very funny. A very quick read. 3.5/5 stars.

Hollow Bones: I loved the story but it did make me a little sick. 5/5 stars.

Goth GF: Didn't really hit. Probably my least favourite. 1/5 stars.

Extinction Event: Made me feel really bad for plants and I started hating the people. I feel like it's a good representation of humanity destroying the environment for overconsumption. 4.5/5 stars.

Nightstalker: 4/5

Shake Well: Crazy. Similar themes to Build A Body Like Mine. 2/5 stars.

The King: A very cool concept. I loved the apocalypse setting. 4/5 stars.

Company Man: I loved the mix of repetitive dream with real life. 5/5 stars.

Content Warnings:

BABLM- descriptions of body image, parasitic infestations
TPS- SA and violence
SAH- gendered repression and systemic violence, body horror themes
TSOLC- extensive descriptions of food
HB- descriptions of wounds, medicalised drug use
GG- workplace bullying and references to SH
NS- 1970s homophobia and recreational drug use
SW- body horror themes, recreational drug use, grooming
TK- violence and cannibalism, references to racism
CM- descriptions of violence, alcoholism
